Sim racing is a term used to describer competitive motorsport in a simulated environment. The F1 Sim Racing World Championship is an annual multi-round competition which sees the 10 Formula 1 teams bring the fastest sim racers in the world, to compete for the Drivers and Constructors Championship trophies. Players of the official Formula 1 game can compete in various qualification routes to carve out their path to representing one of the teams at the highest level.

There are varied engineering careers within a motorsport environment across engineering disciplines such as mechanical, aerodynamic, electrica, systems, production, chemical and even civil engineering. Engineering roles within a racing team or constructor are focused around developing, producting and operating the Formula 1 car from intial concept and R&D through the the physical running of the car at the track in the pursuit of performance. Outside of the team environment, engineering plays a crucial role in delivering the F1 show - from the design and construction of circuits, tyres, telemetry information systems, the design and operation of the on and off car support systems to enable the cars and circuits to function, the technology of the F1 Broadcast show & event running to the development of the regulations themselves.

F1 Kids Cast

F1 Kids Cast

The F1 Kids Cast is a first of its kind broadcast for F1 and motorsport aimed at enhancing the viewing exepreicne for younger fans. F1 kids featured a dedicated International Feed which includes 3D augmented graphics, child friendly team radio transmission, technical explainers and a bespoke package of colourful graphics and animations. Formula 1 has also created exclusive cartoon avatars for each of the 20 drivers that will be used throughout Sunday's race - further bringing the broadcast to life. The broadcast marks a continued effort by Formula 1 to diversity its broadcast and create a new platform for younger fans to enjoy the drama and excitment of Formula 1.
